Metro Phoenix residents will experience a warm up, with higher afternoon temperatures to start the work week.

The National Weather Service forecasts less breezy conditions as well.

“So for the most part, it's pretty benign weather pattern, but we're going to be seeing above average temperatures by a few degrees through the entire week. So we're looking at high temperatures in the Phoenix area in the low to mid-90s through the entire week," said Sean Benedict, a Phoenix-based meteorologist with the agency.

According to Benedict, the average high temperature for around this time of year is about 89 to 90 degrees.
