Gilbert police say they have made 10 arrests in the last two weeks related to a string of violent attacks on teenagers in the East Valley.

Gilbert Police Chief Michael Soelberg on Tuesday told Gilbert Town Council more arrests are coming. But he said reviewing evidence and investigating these cases will take time.

"What our community needs to know is that our Gilbert officers and detectives have been and continue working tirelessly behind the scenes to achieve these arrests," Soelberg said. "We hear the community's frustration and desire for expedited justice, and that is very much top of mind, while we are also committed to the process of doing this right."

Several Gilbert community members spoke at the meeting to again express frustration that the town council and police have not moved faster to address the crimes.

Soelberg said his department plans to give another public update on Thursday.
