For years, the Center for Biological Diversity has filed court challenges against the Bureau of Land Management over its grazing practices.

The nonprofit has sued another federal agency over its policies.

The Center filed suit late last week to challenge U.S. Forest Service policies that it said protect cattle at the expense of native wildlife.

It says the practices threaten ecosystems on streams in Coronado National Forest in southern Arizona, which serve as habitat for a number of birds, animals and fish that qualify for protection under the Endangered Species Act.

The nonprofit also named the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in the suit for signing off on the policies despite objections from its own scientists.
