Alleged Orchestrator Of Mexican Massacre Arrested

November 16, 2017

Federal police in Mexico said they captured the alleged mastermind behind one of the country’s most chilling slaughters of 72 migrants whose bodies were found in 2010.

Police in Tamaulipas said they arrested Martiniano de Jesus, a 56-year-old man who they say orchestrated the massacre in the town of San Fernando Tamaulipas.

The victims were all migrants and they were found some 90 miles south of the Texas border in an empty building.

Police said they were killed at the behest of the Zetas drug cartel.

The man is also accused of kidnappings, including the kidnapping of a U.S. citizen.
